Chris-Walker-Photography | The Human Aspect of Railroading

This is a gallery full of railroading images that capture railroaders doing their job. It is my opinion that the local switch job is the heart of any railroad still. Big trains full of containers speed through our cities leaving very little interaction with the communities they serve. The local switch job however moves rail cars to and from the smaller rail yards and interacts directly with the customers they serve on an almost daily basis.

Most of these images were captured on a Fuji Finepix S5100 and unfortunately may not render at larger sizes for printing.
